Seraph Of The End Season 3: All You Need To Know
What is Seraph Of The End?
Seraph of the End (Owari no Seraph in Japanese, also known as The Kingdom of the Vampires) is a shonen manga that arises from the union of the scripts by Takaya Kagami and the drawings by Amato Yamamoto, and the storyboard by Daisuke Furuya.
It began publication in Japan in Shueisha’s Jump Square magazine on September 3, 2012, and has 16 volumes published to date.
The popularity of the manga has made it so that, among other products such as novels and tons of merchandising that are increasing more every day, two anime adaptations have emerged by WIT Studio at this point, with a total of 24 episodes.
What is the central plot of Seraph Of The End?
The story of Seraph Of The End revolves around a virus of unknown origin that has wiped out almost all of humanity. Only children under the age of 13 have managed to survive, although they are under the control of vampires in an underground city. Yuichiro Hyakuya escapes from his domain and swears revenge after participating in a frustrating escape in which all his friends die. What will the world be like once he reaches the surface?
Is there a Blu-Ray special edition of Seraph Of the End?
Die hard fans can get their hands on the Blu-ray release of Seraph Of The End in the meantime.
The Jonu Media Edition offers us the possibility of acquiring the complete first season of this complete 12-episode series in a new Blu-Ray edition, which presents a packaging that externally shows a chest with a mainly black composition in which we find the most important characters of the series, surrounding the logo of the saga, as we can see in the image above.
The back shows us once again Yuichiro and Mikaela wielding their swords, in the company of the technical and content characteristics along with some photographs of the episodes.
Inside this chest, you can find a digipak with three blades that on the outside shows some of the characters on a black background, while on the other side of the blades, you once again find Yuichiro and Mikaela, both on the blades as in disks. Finally, you find a script in which you can see several key visuals of the anime.
What happens in Seraph Of The End?
As the synopsis indicates, the story places us in a post-apocalyptic future in which the appearance of a mysterious virus exterminates all human beings over the age of 13. Faced with such a debacle and blaming the humans themselves for this outbreak, the Vampires make the decision to take over Earth, kidnapping all the surviving minors to take them to their underground city.
This is the case of our protagonist, Yuichiro, one of the many children from the Hyakuya orphanage who find themselves transported to the city of Sanguinem, destined to serve along with hundreds of other children as a source of food for the vampire population.
But Yuichiro, a born fighter, does not give up and actively and passively prepares his personal rebellion, hoping one day to free himself from his chains and eliminate the Vampires.
His best friend and brother from an orphanage, Mikaela is much more logical and intelligent (despite also being only 8 years old).
Mika decides to donate her blood to Ferid, one of the noble vampires who run the city, in exchange for goods and food for her family.
However, Mika’s plans go much further, and by taking advantage of this relationship with the vampire, she manages to steal a firearm and a map with which to escape from that hell.
Joining forces with Yu and the rest of the children, the two youngsters flee only to fall into the hands of Ferid, who had set a trap to hunt down the Hyakuya family.
What follows is a massacre from which only Yuichiro manages to escape with his life, they reach the surface and find those who will welcome him: The resistance force of humanity, the Japanese Demonic Imperial Army, and specifically Lieutenant Colonel Guren Ichinose, who takes Yuichiro and takes him back to humanity.
The years pass and the action is transported to Shibuya High School No. 2, the current capital, where Yuichiro is forced to attend lectures as punishment for being unable to collaborate with anyone.
Pissed off with the situation and impatient to join the vampire extermination unit, Yuichiro suddenly finds himself in the custody of his classmate Shinoa Hiiragi, who on Guren Ichinose’s orders will not allow him to join the army until he makes a friend.
The surreal situation forces Yuichiro to intervene in a class bullying of his fellow gold member, Yoichi, whom he saves from some bullies only to find out that their leader, Yamanaka, is applying to the long-awaited Gekki no Kumi, the extermination unit of vampires.
However, sooner than expected, a vampire escapes from the experimentation center, storming the institute and awakening Yuichiro’s desire for revenge. With this triggering principle, we are presented with a story that places us at full speed in a universe full of new concepts, and it does so with remarkable ease.
When will Seraph Of The End season 3 be released?
As things stand today, there has not been any update on the release date of Seraph of The End Season 3. The last episode of season 2 aired over six years ago and the fans have been enduring an agonizing wait. However, the biggest reason behind the delay is the fact that the first two seasons of Seraph Of The End used up all the volumes of the manga written by Takaya Kagami. As Wit studio didn’t really have any significant story to adapt, Seraph Of The End Season 3 wasn’t produced. However, over the last six years, Takaya Kagami has finished over 40 new chapters of the series. Now, it’s just a matter of time before Wit Studios start adapting the material into Seraph Of The End Season 3. As far as an absolute release date is concerned, there is nothing available.
